Prison Ministry

1:30pm to 2:30pm

We are a group of volunteers going into the prison every other Sunday from 1:30 to 2:30 to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the inmates. We also do one-on-one counseling at inmate’s request. Our mission is to help inmates come to know the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ, and our vision is to remember to visit those in prison according to Hebrews 13:3. Visit the Get Connected Table if you feel called to serve.

We minister to four men’s groups and one group of ladies every other week, sometimes every week. We also offer the women to join in with BMCC Hidden Hearts Program where they receive memorization scriptures each month encouraging them to hide God’s word in their heart so that they might not sin against Him (Psalm 119:11). Aftercare services are provided for inmates through Celebrate Recovery every Friday night at BMCC. Celebrate Recovery is not JUST for inmates, but for anyone struggling with a life issue who would like the support this program offers.

All contributions and offerings given to the Blue Mountain Community Church Prison Ministry go to the purchase of Bibles, New Birth books, pamphlets, etc. We also provide food, clothing, transportation, etc, for those coming out of prison who need these necessities to accommodate them back into community life again. All needs are met according to funding available at the time of need. Thank you for your support of the BMCC Prison Ministry!!!

BMCC Prison Ministry Overseer, Anita Wisler, describes her experience:

My experience in prison ministry for the last thirty years has been the greatest endeavor I have ever encountered. My desire to give hope and forgiveness to those incarcerated has been and always will be my delight and joy in obeying God’s command to visit those in prison—Hebrew 13:3

My prayer today is that many will hear and fulfill the call to help in the prison ministry service we do through BMCC Prison Ministry and Yokefellow Prison Ministry. Come and join us in this valued ministry to give someone in prison a second chance to life and hope in Christ Jesus. Joyfully serving my Lord through the prison ministry.

“In as much as anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of the least of these, he is my disciple and will certainly not lose his reward.” Matthew 10:42
